Jo Ann has made a career in serving leaders, people and organizations to unleash their potential, realize future possibilities, and make impact. Her journey has taken her from degrees in Behavioral Psychology and a Masters in International Economic Development, to transformational change in Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean and the USA – with multiple professional experiences from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), to Columbia University (CU SIPA), Accenture, Monitor, Point B, and now Conversant. With 20+ years’ consulting experience, she partners with C-level leaders to design, manage and deliver large-scale, complex systems change.
Her recent work includes re-imagining the future of IT and Supply-Chain Transformation in CPG, and Post-merger Integration with better-for-you, natural and organic food groups – Danone, Hain Celestial Group and PepsiCo; past clients include Nationwide, Cisco, AT&T, the WK Kellogg Foundation, the City and Counties of Denver and Dallas. Jo Ann is a practice and thought leader in the Future of Work, Sustainable business, alignment and culture transformation. She’s recently designed digital products for a Culture Enablement Company, with a story-telling-focus, including Assessments, Culture Models and authoring Points of View (POVs) on Leadership, Innovation, Digital Transformation, Customer Experience, Engagement, and Core Values Alignment.
Jo Ann has led complex, systems-level changes, designing and facilitating multi-stakeholder processes. As Director of Strategic Planning and Evaluation, Mayor’s Office, HIV/AIDS, she designed and led NYC’s community-based, zero-based strategic planning for HIV/AIDS with >$160 million in annual grant-awarded Clty, State and Federal services, with over 350 community-based providers – from CEOs, to People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWH/A). With the Monitor Company, she led the human-centered transformation of the City of Johannesburg, igoli2020. She is an Executive Committee member of the Alliance for Food & Health (AFH) – a non-profit bridge between Big Food, Big Ag and Big Pharma innovatively solving non-communicable diseases through multi-stakeholder processes.
Among her certifications, Jo Ann practices Prosci™ Change Management, GBN / Monitor™ Scenario Planning, and Innovation and Facilitation for Human-centered Design.
Jo Ann loves the changing nature of her work, great colleagues, and clients at all elevations – from the C-Suite to the manufacturing floor. She thrives on helping people to embrace complexity, seeing the common threads and through lines. She’s especially curious about the future of work – how humans and AI will collaborate, creating human-centered organizations and new, generative business models for impact – Purpose, People, Planet and Profits.
A long time Colorado resident, based in Boulder, Colorado, USA, Jo Ann enjoys hiking, xeriscaping, skiing, cycling and her teen daughter and son – when they’ll have her!
