Hosted by a millennial, a gen-xer, and a baby boomer, On Connection brings a multigenerational lens to organizational life, leadership development, and the power of conversations to influence work performance and employee satisfaction. The need for skills relating to communication and human connection has become increasingly apparent in recent years, but their potential as valuable organizational assets remains largely untapped.
We believe the key to improving performance and alignment is by learning from our differences. Through our varied perspectives and those of our guests, we explore the common challenges of leadership and life at work, bringing actionable insights to leaders across generations, industries, and disciplines. We are smarter and stronger together.

For over 25 years Mr. Connolly and his colleagues have explored how communication impacts coordinated action and organizational culture. Working in global commercial companies, police departments and military organizations has led to a conviction: any group can achieve more with less time, money and stress if they apply the “communication for action” techniques.
With a diverse background in B2B marketing, sales, psychology, hospitality, mental health and wellness, Emma Rose is deeply passionate about what makes us human and the ways we connect. Emma Rose manages from a strongly held belief that authenticity speaks volumes, and that there is magic in community and collaboration.
Unique Perspective
I listen to a lot of podcasts related to leadership, human connection, and organizational life. On Connected is the only one I’ve found that consistently offers the multi-generational perspective on many relevant topics related to life and leadership.

Thought-provoking
I love that this podcast is a dialogue between people of different generations. I also love that it covers topics so essential to being fully human at work. It’s the people, our relationships, and our ability to connect with those around us that makes work (and life) both meaningful and valuable. I love this stuff and come away from each podcast with new perspectives to chew on. Thank you!

Immediately Useful
One of the podcast’s greatest strengths is its ability to blend thoughtful leadership theory with practical workplace application in a way that feels approachable and immediately useful. The multigenerational hosting format naturally introduces balanced perspectives, while experienced guests contribute real world insights drawn from leadership, business, consulting, and organizational development. Rather than focusing on trendy management ideas, the discussions remain grounded in timeless principles that continue to be relevant across industries and changing business environments.
